Jeff and I went to the U2 concert at the Skydome last night but only stayed an hour. The sound wasn't very good (or at least we didn't find it great)...it was nearly impossible to make out any lyrics, and the immense "wall of sound" effect was hard on the ears after a while. Jeff's much more of a U2 fan than I am (he even likes their newest album, which a lot of U2 fans apparently aren't as keen on), and even he was ready to leave after a short time; he said he could barely recognize his favourite songs. I went to the U2 concert for the same reason I went to The Who and Marillion concerts earlier this summer, but I enjoyed those far more. Ah well, the U2 concert was worth going to just to attend my first Skydome event (yes, I live a couple blocks away and had never been to any of the Skydome events) and also to see the Really Huge Crowd Having Lots Of Fun (the concert got great reviews, apparently).
