Condolences to our friend Parki (Brian Parkinson) and his family; Parki's mother passed away early Saturday morning. Jeff and I were hanging out with Parki last night, and I was shocked to find out that his mother was 74 when she died. Shocked because I had assumed she was somewhere in her early 50s; she had an amazingly sharp wit and was always full of energy and good humour. Jeff and I had dinner with Parki and his parents earlier this year; it was way fun, with a lot of laughter, and I clearly remember looking at Parki's mom at some point during the evening and thinking I wanted to be like her when I got older.
