Question: Where can I hear recorded samples of filk online? (*** CURRENT POLL ***)

I'm curious about filk but have never heard it. Where can I find recorded samples of filk online?

- FilkArchive, created and maintained by Martin Gordon-Kerr. Currently UK-focussed but open to uploads from anywhere.

- The Virtual Filksing. Service from Prometheus Music (but is no longer accepting uploads).

- Filk MP3s and Audio Files on the Web by Maureen O'Brien. Also see the larger site, Darn Near All The Filk On The Web.

- CDbaby (results of "filk" search)

- Pegasus Awards page (see past and present nominees, winners)

- Some filkers keep samples online.

You can hear samples of Tom Jeffers and Dave Clement of Dandelion Wine at their website, as well as samples from Curraugh, their Celtic band with their buddy Al Thomson, in the Curraugh section of the website.

Just commenting on the "UK focus" bit - that is not deliberate, but simply the result at the moment of the fact that 90% of the stuff on FilkArchive I have live recorded myself at the UK cons. We do have stuff uploaded from Canada and the US, but not that much at the moment. "Currently UK focussed but open to uploads from anywhere" might be closer. The new stuff going up tonight is German...
