"Innovative Niche Publication" seeks freelancers
The typos and grammatical errors in the header and body of this listing don't inspire much confidence, but hopefully the person who wrote this ad isn't also on the editorial staff. Be sure to check on pay rates before submitting anything; the part about "this is the perfect opportunity to build up clippings" part makes me somewhat suspicious, but they do mention scaled compensation later in the listing. "We seek free-lance writers with varied backgrounds who can handle everything from in-depth political coverage to entertainment interviews, historical analysis and music/book reviews." Science newsletter: neurology writer
Pays .30-.50/wd. Freelancers.com never seems to have much detail in its listings, unfortunately, nor (*warning*) does it include info about when a listing has been posted. When I tried the "reply" link on this listing (not because I have any neurological expertise but rather because I was curious), I got an ominous-sounded "Server busy" error message. If the top listing doesn't change soon, I'm going to take this off my "resources to check" list. More info: Freelancers.com
