Christian Writers Needed
Christian publisher looking for previously non-published inspirational short stories (400-1700 words) from individuals who have undergone a religious awakening and consider themselves born-again Christians.
The emphasis of the short story should be on the actual “life-altering event” that brought Jesus into your life, what was missing in your spiritual life prior to this moment, and how this event has forever changed your life!
I need to know what made you “see the light." Was it your children, a near-death experience, being sick, having God answer your prayers at a crucial moment, or maybe it was another person who you know God sent to save you! Explain how troubled you might have been prior to this event (or what type of sinful life you might have been living) and how you now embrace each new day you have been given.
The object of your story is to uplift and inspire, by transmitting the emotions and feelings you experienced when saved, to your readers!
Selected stories will be published in a small collection with other religious short stories.
Please include your full name, an active email account, your home address and a phone number where you can be reached. All information is strictly confidential and will only be used to contact you if your story is chosen for the publication.
Please attach an MS Word file. The story should use New Times Roman font, size 12, and be double spaced.
Thank you and God bless.
Compensation: Per word/story

Writing Related Article Wanted
Coffee Break for Writers e-zine is looking for an article to be published in our July 31 edition. Here's the details:
We need an article that tells writers how to respond to a call for writers Internet ad. The article must tell the writer how to write a response that could be effective, and the article must also include a sample response (you can use fictional names).
We will choose the article we like best from all submissions, and if your article is chosen you will be notified via e-mail. You may even get opportunities to write for us again.
Deadline for the article: July 26, 2006. No more articles will be accepted or reviewed after this deadline.
Payment information: We pay $10 along with a free six month subscription to Coffee Break for Writers, and your bio will be placed at the end of your article. Your bio can be 50 words or less.
Payment is made upon publication -- usually the day after the e-zine is sent, but no later than one week after the e-zine is sent. We pay through Paypal.
Reprint information: We will consider reprints, but the article must have been published over two years ago, and when searched, we should not find it all over the Internet (a few places on the Internet is fine, we just don't want to find it everywhere). When sending your submission, mention if the article is a reprint, and if it is let us know when and where the article was published, and the date the article was published for each publication.
Rights: Coffee Break for Writers buys one-time rights, and we ask that you do not sell the piece to another publication until we publish it in Coffee Break for Writers. After your piece appears in Coffee Break for Writers, you will be free to resell the piece.
How to Submit: Your article must at least 500 words and no more than 1000 words. It must also follow the AP Style rules.
Send the requested article to the e-mail address above. When sending your article put "article submission" at the beginning of the subject line, please.
Attachments in PDF format are accepted, but all other attachments will be deleted. We also accept plain text, in the body of an e-mail, and we ask that you make sure your text is plain, with no formatting codes. Some programs insert HTML or rich text -- go to the options menu and specify plain text. Also, if pasting from Word, copy and paste your text into Notepad first, then copy and paste the text from Notepad into the body of your e-mail. Put a blank line between paragraphs so we will know where a new paragraph begins.
If your article follows the guidelines above it will be reviewed.
Coffee Break for Writers reserves the right to edit all submissions, however, you will get to view a copy of your article before we publish it -- this is the time to let us know if you disapprove of any of our editing.
Even though we do edit articles we do ask that you do your best to make sure your article is free of grammar, spelling and punctuation mistakes. If your article is well written, follows the AP Style rules and contains little or no grammar, spelling and punctuation mistakes you will increase your chance of being accepted.
If your article is accepted for publication, and you would like the payment terms and rights put into writing and signed I can do this for you, and I will fax it to you for you to sign and fax back (this way we both have a copy).
