"Miranda's poppa has to go on a business trip to England. She is sad and mad
that she can't go, too, but she's more afraid that Poppa will forget her --
the way she looks, the way she sounds. He won't be gone long enough to
receive a letter, so Momma makes a suggestion as to how Miranda can be
sure that Poppa can't forget her. There the text ends and Ohi's wonderful
artwork tells the remainder of the story. Both Miranda and Poppa find a
special way to tell each other that they're loved and missed while they're
apart.
This is a good read-together book that aptly reflects a child's fear of
separation and provides a heart-warming solution."
