Within Urban Tapestry, Debbie plays flute, whistle, various percussion instruments as well as writing music for the group. She also plays guitar and Celtic harp.
Debbie is a freelance writer and illustrator. Her book, The Writer's Online Marketplace was published by Writer's Digest Books in 2001, and her other writing focuses on novels for young people, magazine articles and online columns. Debbie was editor-in-chief of Inkspot, a resource for writers, which she sold. Some years ago, she posted regular online reports when she read Lord of the Rings for the first time and started her comic strip, Waiting For Frodo (now complete). Her other comic strips include My Life In A Nutshell and Will Write For Chocolate.
Debbie is the founder and editor of Filking.net (The Dandelion Report), a resource about filkers and filking.
